What's your marriage mission?

Acts 18:26
"When Priscilla and Aquila heard [Apollos], they invited him to their home and explained to him the way of God more adequately."

Now here's a power couple if there ever was one!  Paul refers to them saying "they risked their lives for me" (Romans 16:2-4) and in fact they did much more than that.  They hosted Christian gatherings in their home during a time when it wasn't fashionable, and at worst could be downright dangerous.  But they worked together, as partners because they both believed in what they were doing.  It's a rare thing to see in the bible a couple referenced together, having such an impact in ministry.

This is the kind of partnership that I'm talking about!  To have a joint calling, one that you can work together with your spouse, gives your union meaning and purpose beyond yourselves.  It begs the question, what's my marriage mission?  How can my wife and I work together, starting now with where we are in this stage of our lives, to impact the lives of those around us?

Team ministry isn't for every couple, and in fact, marriage missions look different.  But the journey begins with finding the answer to why are you together, what unique strengths and passions do you both bring to the table, and what do you collectively have to offer?  You may discover that your marriage is worth far more than what you thought it to be, when you consider the impact you can have on others.
